Once again, I have decided to treat myself with some lego. Watching the lion dances was always something I loved as a kid, watching the performers bring the lions to life with their movements and precarious balancing was something that resonated with me. I don’t really remember the story behind the cabbages that the lions “eat” but my mother told me there was also a red envelope (containing money) attached to the cabbage so I never really questioned it further.
I also decided to experiment a little with smoke, but I’m not sure I like the results. I got a little paranoid about the smoke alarm going off so I took the photos outside and the consistent breeze on the balcony meant that the smoke would dissipate very quickly. Perhaps I will try again indoors another time, but anyway, happy Year of the Rat!
